I had the 'Pizza' crumpets - it doesn't exist - for lunch yesterday but my internet connection was interrupted when I was trying to upload this blog post. Crumpets are usually eaten at breakfast with some bacon and eggs but Neopolitan pizza bases take at least 4 days to ferment at room temperature and then the fridge. It must be a sourdough bread base as I could taste a little of the tartness of a sourdough bread.
I have just seen a video on the best deep pan pizzas, a welcoming thought but I prefer crumpets with the pizza topping or some bacon and eggs. Again, the ambience is what makes the crumpets and a breakfast that much better for the ultimate dining experience.
