Lunch: Fish and chips with battered mushrooms

The chips are shop bought for if you have invested in a chip fryer, the chips can turn into mashed potatoes.

The cod and chips are from that shop named after a country and it is either you decide to take your dish along for a picnic spread or a buffet or get the real thing from the chip shop. Nothing compares.  Unless you are a gifted Chef d'oeuvre who has a dining room with views overlooking the Thames or some commons with a theme park.

I had some batter left over so I used it to coat some mushrooms which I was going to use for another stroganoff stew, without any meat, as I have no meat in the fridge at the moment.
